Keynote speaker change and agility

Joyce speaks to various groups such as businesses, NGOs, healthcare institutions, and education. Each keynote is customized and because Joyce invests time to understand her audience beforehand, your desired change is always at the center of her story. For instance, she also talks about diversity & inclusion or how healthcare professionals can empower their patients.

As an inspirational keynote speaker Joyce talks about the themes:

Change | Agility | Resilience | Sustainable employability | Vulnerability | Collaborating | Leadership | Mindset | Communication | Empowering

Live in a process of continuous change

At the age of 16 Joyce was told that around the age of 40 she will be almost deaf and blind and she would be of no value to this society. At that moment she was faced with a choice: to accept her role as an eternal victim or to look at what would still be possible and get the most out of that.
We all have to deal with changes and setbacks in our lives and work, which appeals hugely to our personal agility and on our mindset… What attitude do you take when confronted with change?
We all have to be agile, but:
How do you become agile?

After years of working in the corporate sector, Joyce now runs her own company as a public speaker on the themes agility, resilience and leadership. She’s the author of Niet horen, niet zien, niet zwijgen (Not to hear, not to see, not to be silent). It’s a beautiful autobiographical story about living in haste, the quest to deal with the continuous process of change and the growing conviction that she has got a powerful message to share with the world. Because the fact that in due time she will soon lose the ability to hear and see, does not necessarily mean that she will become silent.

Inspiring keynote speaker, trainer ánd coach

In addition to being an inspiring speaker, Joyce is also a trainer and coach at the Speakers Club , where she guides professional speakers and business leaders in their next level of speaking.

Joyce delivers an incredibly powerful and compelling narrative. I have seen others do it, but the way she does it is unique. So powerful in her vulnerability, connecting with her audience from her own experiences. After her presentation, I spoke to several colleagues who admitted they had listened with a lump in their throat.

From the beginning till the end the audience was amazed by the live changing story of Joyce. By mirroring, asking questions and telling a very honest story she was able to influence the thinking process of the audience. Because of her lecture my day and week became very valuable and it gave me an energy boost in the transformation which we are in at this moment.

Joyce managed to have 200+ colleagues to be silent for almost one hour. Many afterwards came to me and mentioned this was the most impactful story they’ve ever heard. I would therefore absolutely recommend Joyce might you want to organize an event around change, agility, real value. In one word: amazing!

Yesterday, we brought together over 90 of our worldwide operating ProQRians for an online seminar on ‘change’ led by Joyce de Ruiter. In a very elegant and upmost innovate way, Joyce teached us how to master a mindset needed to embrace change and how to overcome managerial obstacles hampering transformations. All of us were captivated and inspired by Joyce. Everyone has a story to tell, but definitely not one like hers! We would love to host Joyce again soon! Thanks Joyce!

You cannot fall victim to change,
only to your attitude.
